This fall, we talk with the specialists in our Preservation Services department about their work assisting museums, libraries, and other collecting institutions with emergency preparedness in Planning for the Worst-Case Scenario. Next, in Saving Pennsylvania's Past, we officially introduce Save Pennsylvania's Past, a program that will help institutions across the state with collections care training, disaster planning, preservation resource building, and fundraising and marketing for collections. Heritage Preservation's national program Alliance for Response and its regional support networks (including one based in Philadelphia) are the focus of Alliance for Response: Connecting Cultural Heritage and Emergency Response Communities Before Disasters Happen.

Plus, Director of Preservation Services Laura Hortz Stanton talks about her favorite site visits and museum memories in Questions for Laura, and High Watermarks lists some must-read resources relating to the first three Save Pennsylvania's Past training programs.
