Louis XV was eight years old when Guillaume Delisle, Royal Geographer, became his personal geography instructor. Two years later, in 1720, Delisle presented his pupil with these round manuscript maps, which are now receiving treatment at CCAHA.

CCAHA seeking regional applicants for grant-funded collections care initiative

CCAHA is accepting applications for its Philadelphia Stewardship Program through July 1, 2013. This program is comprised of four grant-funded tracks designed to aid nonprofit institutions in the Philadelphia area in caring for their collections.

Susan Corbett, First Lady of Pennsylvania, visited CCAHA today for a tour of the conservation laboratory. Mrs. Corbett spoke with CCAHA staff and viewed several in-progress treatment projects.
