CCAHA's first American Academy in Rome Fellow returns from her studies at the Vatican Museums

Conservator Minah Song is the first of two fellows from CCAHA invited to study conservation through the Academy.  She spent her six-week fellowship treating a 16th/17th-century Chinese painting in the Vatican's Missionary Ethnological Museum conservation laboratory.

CCAHA receives IMLS Connecting to Collections Statewide Implementation Grant for Pennsylvania

Thanks to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant, CCAHA will launch Imagining the Future: Preserving Pennsylvania’s Collections, a comprehensive preservation plan for Pennsylvania’s museums, libraries, archives, and historic sites.

CCAHA awarded grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced that CCAHA has been recommended for a grant to support a one-year advanced fellowship beginning September 1. Advanced Fellow Mary Broadway will gain hands-on experience in all areas of the conservation process.

Vilmorin-Andrieux & Cie, the 19th-century seed company, was known not only for its quality product and research but for its impressive publications. Eleven plates from its celebrated Album Vilmorin, owned by the National Agricultural Library, recently received treatment.
