Conservation Center - for Art and Historic Artifacts

CCAHA specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper and provides preservation education, training, and consultation. Established in 1977, CCAHA is the largest nonprofit regional conservation lab in the country.

Conservation Technician

Jennifer Blomberg, Conservation Technician, received her B.A. from the University of Delaware in Art Conservation with a concentration in Collections Care along with minors in Art History and Fine Arts.  

In her position at CCAHA in the Collections Care Department, she works with large scale treatments from archives and libraries.  She assists in conservation treatments such as phytate treatments, mending, pamphlet bindings, and encapsulations.  In her free time, Ms. Blomberg works on her own art in charcoal and pastel, as well as oils and photography.  Before returning to school and joining the staff at CCAHA, she worked for eight years as a Merchant Marine Officer for the Department of Interior running supply, crew, and passenger vessels.
