CCAHA specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper and provides preservation education, training, and consultation. Established in 1977, CCAHA is the largest nonprofit regional conservation lab in the country.

Conservation Technician

Stephenie Bailey, Conservation Technician, received a B.A. in Art History from Beloit College in Wisconsin and a M.A. in Art History from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

In her position at CCAHA, Stephenie is responsible for the matting, mounting and framing of original works of art and historic artifacts for storage and exhibition, including the design and construction of sealed microclimate packages and custom finished picture frames.

Ms. Bailey has previously worked as an archival assistant at the Collier Historic Motorcars (Naples, FL) and at Dumbarton Oaks (Washington, DC), an assistant to Curator at the National Gallery of Art (Washington, DC), and has worked as a conservation intern at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Rockford Art Museum (Rockford, IL). She has been a graduate teaching assistant in Art History at The George Washington University and served as adjunct professor of Renaissance to Modern Art History at Edison College.
