Conservation Center - for Art and Historic Artifacts

CCAHA specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper and provides preservation education, training, and consultation. Established in 1977, CCAHA is the largest nonprofit regional conservation lab in the country.

Conservation Technician

Katelyn Uehling, Conservation Technician, received her B.A. in Art Conservation from the University of Delaware.

Ms. Uehling is part of the Collections Care team which is responsible for treating large-scale projects from museums and archives. She has recently treated postcards from the Ellis Island Statue of Liberty Museum and the library of Frederick Douglass.

Prior to joining CCAHA, Ms. Uehling has had both paper and object conservation internships at Winterthur Museum, an internship in paper conservation and conservation photography at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and an internship with the Registrar at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA.

She was awarded the David J. Toman Art Conservation Award in 2009, the University of Delaware Woman of Promise award in both 2006 and 2008 and the University of Delaware Arts and Humanities Scholar award in 2008.
