Conservation Center - for Art and Historic Artifacts

CCAHA specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper and provides preservation education, training, and consultation. Established in 1977, CCAHA is the largest nonprofit regional conservation lab in the country.

Jessica Keister

NEA Fellow

Jessica Keister is the NEA fellow at CCAHA. She received her B.A. in Art Conservation at the University of Delaware and her M.S. in Art Conservation at the University of Delaware.

In her role as NEA Fellow, Ms. Keister will prepare condition reports, treatment estimates and proposals, and carry out conservation treatment for works of art on paper and archival materials. She will concentrate on photography treatments. She is also involved with CCAHA in the photographic preservation program for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, an initiative to improve the preservation of significant photographic collections held within HBCUs.

Ms. Keister has extensive photography conservation experience. Previously she was the photograph conservation intern at the Canadian Conservation Institute (Ottawa), the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa), the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (Cambridge, MA), and at a private conservation studio in the Netherlands.
