Preservation Services Staff: Kimberly Andrews
Preservation Services Officer
Kim Andrews is Preservation Services Officer at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia. She received her BA in Art History and French from Temple University, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from LaSalle University and is currently working on a Masters degree in Preventive Conservation from Northumbria University, UK.
Through the Philadelphia Stewardship Program, Ms. Andrews works with member institutions in our Basic and Advanced Stewardship programs, evaluating preservation needs and creating preservation plans to improve their collections care. She also coordinates the Philadelphia Stewardship Program Collections Care Training educational programs. Ms. Andrews previously was the Conservation Assistant for Preservation Housing at CCAHA, creating housing and storage solutions for a wide variety of objects for art and cultural institutions and private individuals. Ms. Andrews has a particular interest in the technology of sealed packages and in the housing and preservation of parchment and regularly presents on preservation issues and the best practices of storage, housing and framing.
