Positions

Assistant Director

CCAHA seeks a highly motivated individual with strong managerial and organizational skills to provide support in its day to day operations and to work as an integral part of the senior management team. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities include: Assistance with development and oversight of annual operating budget; project planning, including response to requests for proposals; management of budgets for multi-year special projects; engagement with annual strategic planning efforts; and facilities management. 

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in business plus five years of nonprofit experience or the equivalent. Ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership, financial management, and organizational skills. Candidate must have practical and working knowledge of nonprofit accounting and financial reporting, auditing practice, and project management experience. Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills are critical components of this position. Must be able to work as part of a team.  Some travel is required. A strong interest in conservation and preservation is desired.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.

Fellowships and Internships

Fellowship in Paper Conservation

CCAHA is pleased to offer a 12-month fellowship in the conservation of works on paper beginning September 3, 2012. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of paper-based materials in a modern, well-equipped conservation laboratory. The candidate may also have the opportunity to participate in on-site collection surveys and/or treatment projects.

The applicant should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized conservation training program or have equivalent experience from a formal apprenticeship. Stipend is based on a salary of $29,000/year plus benefits, two weeks vacation, two weeks research leave, and a $2,000 travel allowance.
