Construction of Book Supports

Responsible exhibition of books requires the use of exhibit mounts and supports to protect them from damage. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to construct supports for use in exhibitions. Safe construction materials and mount design will be discussed.

Planning for the unexpected, from large scale emergencies to damage from leaks, pest infestations, mold, theft or fire, allows institutions to identify risks and mitigate damage to collections
