Caring for Paintings & Frames

Historic collections frequently contain paintings and other framed artwork.  This workshop will give an overview on how to care for this type of collection, which requires unique storage and handling considerations.  The session will also instruct participants in basic dusting, tips on moving framed artwork, and how to recognize problems that will require the attention of a professional conservator.  Simple examination methods and report writing will also be presented.
