Audiovisual collections—including motion picture film; magnetic tape media such as audio and video reels and cassettes; and compact discs—have unique preservation needs and often require special collections management considerations. Participants in this workshop will learn about methods for properly storing and caring for audiovisual collections, as well as issues in reformatting and maintaining playback equipment.
