Through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission grant programs, museums can apply for support for collections management projects through the category “Collections Management Project Grants,” and museums, libraries, archives, and colleges and universities can apply for support through “Archives and Records Management Grants.”
Funding may provide:
Collections Management Project Grants can support conservation of historic artifacts and documents; analysis of environmental, security, and storage problems; cataloging and related collections research; and design, preparation and installation of exhibits.
Archives and Records Management Grants can support preservation of archival manuscripts; purchase of preservation supplies; inventory and survey projects; and microfilming or reformatting projects.
Grant amount: Up to $15,000; matching. Grants under $5,000 do not require matching funds.
