Fundraising Information

There has never been a better time to raise money for conservation and preservation projects!

One of the best ways to raise money for conservation projects is to start with a request for state or federal funding. On the federal level, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institute for Museum and Library Services, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Save America's Treasures all actively encourage requests for exciting conservation projects.

Most federal and state grant opportunities are in the form of matching grants. This makes them an ideal vehicle for soliciting new friends in the local community for support, potentially developing new sources for long-term support. And it adds to your prestige as an organization to get a federal grant from any of these sources.

During the past year, CCAHA has assisted numerous museums, libraries, historic sites, and archives by assisting with project development and preparing essential support material for their requests, sometimes even providing help with grantwriting and budget preparation. We have helped organizations to tap into all the funding sources listed above, and many more. This is an important part of the service that we offer here at CCAHA.
