    The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Photograph Preservation Project aims to improve preservation of significant photographic collections held in HBCUs. Ten institutions were recently selected to receive $45,000 grants to fund in-depth preservation projects.

    Known for his ability to capture in writing the struggles of ordinary Americans, Carl Sandburg produced a wide range of critically-acclaimed works in his lifetime. CCAHA recently surveyed 2,500 volumes from Carl’s personal library at the Carl Sandburg Home NHS.
