HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (HBCU) PHOTOGRAPH PRESERVATION PROJECT

CONNECTING TO COLLECTIONS
CCAHA has recieved a prestigious grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to create a preservation plan for Pennsylvania collections.
This project will address areas of concern identified in the Heritage Health Index Report, which found that the nations collections are at great risk. CCAHA will seek to determine specific critical needs through a comprehensive assessment process involving approximately 4,000 Pennsylvania collecting insitutions.
Our partners in this project are the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Pennsylvania Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations, and PALINET.
