Conservation Center - for Art and Historic Artifacts

The Conservation Center specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper. Established in 1977, CCAHA is one of the largest non-profit regional conservation labs in the country.


Become a Member

Membership in the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) is open to all nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, including museums, a rchives, libraries, historical societies, academic institutions, state agencies, cooperative conservation programs, and private foundations. CCAHA’s membership fee is $150 per year for institutional budgets under $1.5 million, and $250 per year for institutional budgets over $1.5 million.

 

Members receive the following benefits:

  • A free condition report, treatment proposal, or estimate per year or up to two free hours of free consultation (within a fifty mile radius of Philadelphia)
  • Lowered rates for CCAHA sponsored workshops.
  • Free copies of CCAHA’s most recently published technical bulletins
  • Loan of specialized equipment and supplies in the event of a disaster
  • Access to CCAHA’s on-site Library of preservation and conservation reference materials
